The proposals include the closure of three wards at Rotherham Hospital and the down-banding of significant numbers of nursing staff, including Specialist Nurses, Matrons and others.
The trust plans to reduce its acute care workforce by 24 WTE in 2012-13.
12 band 7 health visitors will be downgraded to band 6.
Proposed changes to the school nursing service will result in two band 7 nurses being downgraded to band 6, and two band 6 nurses being downgraded to band 5.
A reconfiguration of rehabilitation services at Tickhill Road Hospital and Montagu Hospital will result in a loss of 12.03 WTE nursing posts and 37.63 WTE HCA posts (Data collected May 2012).
The trust’s workforce savings plan for 2012-13 includes the loss of up to 178 posts. Although most are non-clincial, 12 matron, senior nurse manager and clinical nurse specialist posts are at risk (data collected May 2012).
The trust’s proposed management restructure would result in a loss of 25.4 WTE posts.
Plans to reduce its workforce by 300 WTE from 2011 to 2014.
Plans to decrease its workforce by 491 WTE. This includes 146 nursing and midwifery posts, and 72 other clinical.
Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust has reduced 78 posts against a target of 222 post reductions.
Reducing 22 posts, namely APs, Band 5 & 6 nurses and support staff
Plans to reduce 142 posts from its clinical and corporate directorates. 28 Bands 5 & 6 nursing posts that will be lost.
713 posts will be lost within the Trust. Of the 713 posts, 595 vacant posts will be deleted
Consulting on its management restructuring which will reduce its workforce by 45 WTE.
