Proposing losing 80 to 100 administrative posts, which work to support clinical staff.
The redesigns of five services at this trust mental health trust could result in a loss of around 90 WTE posts, over 70 of which are nursing. RCN staff and activists are currently working hard, negotiating with management, to try and mitigate any negative impact on patients and staff (data collected March 2012).
PCTs across the North East could make 1,367 people redundant. This is the “worst case scenario” if they have to lose all staff as part of the current commissioning reforms (data collected June 2012).
The trust is downbanding 4.2 WTE band 6 sister posts to band 5 in the cardiothoracic high dependency unit (data collected May 2012).
The trust has suspended all inpatient gynaecology services at the University Hospital of Hartlepool because of a lack of senior medical staff. Services have transferred to the University Hospital of North Tees.
