Downbanding 42 WTE band 6 nursing posts to band 5 and downbanding around 60 band 3 HCA posts to band 2
Placing 64 staff at risk or redundancy (mostly nursing and clinical staff). Expects to make around 12 posts redundant.
The trust is considering closing Highams Court, a 35-bedded community care unit which provides short-term intermediate care for those not able to be discharged straight away, as well as some long-term care (data collected May 2012).
A reconfiguration of forensic services at this trust will result in a loss of eight charge nurse posts. Three HCAs will also be downbanded from band 3 to band 2 (data collected April 2012).
The trust plans to reduce its workforce by 1083 WTE from March 2012 to March 2016.
The trust’s 2011-12 savings plan includes savings of £11.7m from nursing costs alone. This makes up a quarter of their total savings plan.
The trust is reconfiguring staffing at Kensington and Chelsea Addiction Services and their Addiction Services Headquarters.
The trust is reconfiguring its senior nursing structure, resulting in the loss of one senior nurse/modern matron post.
The trust is replacing 39 WTE qualified nurses with band 2 HCAs as part of a reconfiguration of inpatient services.

Ealing Hospital NHS Trust plans to reduce 17 out of the 34 beds available on a medical ward specialising in Respiratory Medicine and Endocrinology by July end 2011.
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is proposing to change Breast Nursing Services (within Cancer and Surgery) across its 3 hospitals.
West London Mental Health NHS Trust is consulting on redesigning the Ealing Community Service Delivery Unit. The trust proposes to reduce 4 existing Adult Community Mental Health Teams and set up in its place 2 recovery teams with 1 central assessment and short-term intervention service.
The Joint Committee of Primary Care Trusts (JCPCT) has recommended that the children’s congenital cardiac services at the Royal Brompton should close.
Due to funding constraints, the only nursing post within the Eban Projec,t providing nursing services like drug addiction counselling and wound care, has been placed at risk of redundancy.
Consulting on the merger of its short-stay surgical in-patient unit and its day surgery, approx. 20.88WTE staff will be affected.
Has issued an HR1 placing 135 staff at risk of redundancy.
Reducing Band 7 & 6 nurses by approx 6 posts and increasing Band 5 nurses by 7.

Mental Impairment and Evaluation Treatment Service (MIETS) is reducing the number of Band 6 nursing posts from 8 to 3 by deleting vacancies.
Has currently identified 280 of the 450 posts to go. These include 107 nursing posts, 16 doctors’ posts, 107 non-clinical and management posts and 23 therapy posts.
Band 6 nursing posts within the Croydon Alcohol and Drug Team are reducing from 7 to 1.
Needs to save £12-13 million by 2011/12. A vacancy freeze is in place for all clinical and managerial Band 6 and above posts
96 community service jobs supporting adults and CAMHS will be decommissioned, 41 jobs are reported to be nursing.
Plans to reduce 261WTE posts, out of which 100WTE will be nursing over 2 years

Lambeth Adult Mental Health Services are consulting on redesigning its community services. 28.3WTE posts could be disestablished.

Changes to service delivery in the Emergency Department will lead to 8.4WTE emergency nurse practitioners to be TUPE’d to Care UK.
Proposing to remove 51 WTE (mainly clerical, admin & management and 15 clinical staff) by deleting vacant posts.
Proposes to reduce its elective surgical bed base by 12 and staffing workforce by 15WTE.
Expect their workforce of 7600 to reduce by 635 posts. From this figure the proposed reduction in nursing posts is 258 WTE.
Barnet Drug and Alcohol Services could cease from 31st March 2011 as part of a national agenda and austerity measure.
proposing to close their 15-bed Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) as of 31st March 2011.
Needs to save 54% in management costs by 2011/12. Consulting on implementing a single management team for the PCTs in the area, will potentially reduce 1,116 commissioning staff.
Need to deliver an £8million surplus by 2010/11. Currently 149WTE posts are under review for potential losses.
Restructuring its Outpatient Services which could see a reduction of 13 RN posts and an increase in Band 4, 3 and 2 staff.
The trust has reduced its overall workforce numbers by 103 FTE in 2009/10.

Queen Mary’s A&E and maternity services will be temporarily closed from November 2010 due to serious shortage of medical staff to ensure safe patient care.
Needs to save £20.3million. They are proposing to reduce approximately 95 beds.
