NHS efficiency savings

The Financial Times reports that Monitor has written to NHS hospital managers advising them that the will now need to make savings of 7 percent for the year 2013-14, when previously the target had been 4.6 percent. The piece also notes how last month the Financial Times reported that the overall efficiency savings target for the next decade will be £50bn.
